We are proud to announce the appointment of MATEC Web of Conferences as the official conference proceedings publisher for IConCEES 2015. Call for papers has closed

The IConCEES 2015 Call for Papers is now closed. We thank all those who submitted their paper(s). The reviewing phase will continue until 15 October 2015. You may check the status of your paper(s) here using the same username and password that were provided to you. Once you receive notification of acceptance, your revised paper(s) must be submitted by 31 October 2015.

IConCEES 2015

The 3rd International Conference on Civil and Environmental Engineering for Sustainability (IConCEES 2015) is an international conference organised by Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia that will focus on topics related to civil and environmental engineering.

To be held in the historic city of Melaka, Malaysia on the 1st and 2nd of December 2015, IConCEES 2015 will provide a platform for exchanging ideas between engineers and scientists from both academia and industries about the latest advances in research and innovation, as well as state-of-the-art information in the fields of civil and environmental engineering.

With the theme "Civil and Environmental Engineering for Sustainability: Towards a Better Future", the conference hopes to interest participants on the wide range of issues and solutions in pursuing sustainability from an engineering perspective.

"Green Building Is Not Enough"

Biography:
Dr Ofori is a Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is a Fellow of several international construction industry professional bodies, such as the Chartered Institute of Building, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Society of Project Managers, and the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr Ofori's main research interests include continuous improvement of the construction industry, sustainable construction and construction human resource development. Formerly a Senior Quantity Surveyor at G.A. Takyi & Partners, Accra, Ghana, Head of Department of Building, School of Design and Environment, NUS and Co-ordinator of Working Commission 107 of International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) on Construction in Developing Countries, Dr Ofori also serves as a consultant to international agencies and governments on construction industry development, and construction management and economics, undertaking assignments in Botswana, Ghana, Malawi, Singapore, South Africa, Swaziland and Tanzania.

"Sustainable Urban Stormwater Management: Key to Future Green-Blue, Resilience and Sustainability of Urban Environment"

Biography:
Dr Nor Azazi is a professor at the School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). His main interests include Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, Sediment Transport in River/Drain, Environmental Management and Soil Treatment, and Soil Reinforcement Techniques. He has published more than 80 articles in local and international journals and conference proceedings. Dr Nor Azazi is a leading researcher in the innovation of Bio-ecological Drainage System (BIOECODS), and is now an established figure in the field of stormwater management at national and international levels. He sits in the Executive Committee for Malaysian National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (MANCID) and Malaysia Stormwater Organization (MSO). As a main contributor for the Urban Storm Water Management (MSMA) 2nd edition, he has actively participated at the national level in promoting this new urban drainage manual.

"Sustainability in Built Environment: Green Building Index (GBI) Platinum Certification - UCTS Experience"

Biography:
Dato' Sabarudin is currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of University College of Technology Sarawak and is the Director of Peat Technology Research Institute (PETRI). Previously, he served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Internationalisation) at University Malaysia Pahang. He began his career as a Technical Assistant in Jabatan Kerja Raya before furthering his studies in Scotland and England. He obtained his Masters degree in Structural Engineering from Strathclyde University and his PhD in Structures from Birmingham University in 1990 before taking up the post of a lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dato' Sabarudin is actively involved in research and consultancy, having conducted multiple research projects in Structural Engineering and Concrete Technology. He has also received research grants from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and from the industry. He has lead several consultancy projects with a total value of over RM 3 million and has established networks with JKR Sarawak, Electrical Association for Sarawak and Sabah, Sesco, Marine Industry, Huawei, ICATS Kuching, ADTEC Bintulu, and public universities such as UTHM, UNIMAS and UMS.
